Pre-Kindergarten Curriculum
Pre-Kindergarten at Alamo Ranch, Basse, and Cibolo prepares your child for kindergarten with a comprehensive and interactive program designed to meet the needs of all learners. The Frog Street Pre-K curriculum is structured around nine units and family activities that are essential for success in later grades. Students will be introduced to units focused on literacy, math, science, social studies, social-emotional connections, STEAM, technology, assessment, and family engagement.
Pre-Kindergarten at Legacy Traditional Schools is aligned to both federal and state standards.

We are pleased to introduce Extended Day Pre-K care at Alamo Ranch and Cibolo for the 2025-26 school year.
Extended Day Registration opens April 15 and closes June 15, 2025.

Tuition-Based Pre-Kindergarten Program
Students who don’t meet eligibility for free Pre-K can enroll in tuition-based Pre-K at select schools. Students must be 3 years old or 4 years old on or before September 1st of the school year. Tuition-based PreK students will be approved only if there is space available after students who qualify for free PreK have been approved.

Payments are due every Monday by 11:59pm. Late payments will incur a $25.00 late fee if not received by Tuesday 12:00pm
Eligibility Requirements for PK3 & PK4 Program:
Pre-Kindergarten at Legacy is available free to families who meet the following eligibility requirements:
- To be eligible for enrollment in a free prekindergarten class, a child must be at least three years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year (for the 3-year-old program available at Basse) or four years of age on or before September 1 of the current school year.
- Unable to speak and comprehend the English language
- Is educationally disadvantaged (eligible to participate in the national school lunch program… guidelines about NSLP eligibility can be found in sections 4 and 6 of the Texas Department of Agriculture’s Administrators Reference Manual) is homeless, as defined by 42 USC, §11434a, regardless of the residence of the child, of either parent of the child, or of the child’s guardian or other person having lawful control of the child
- Is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who is ordered to active duty by proper authority
- Is the child of a member of the armed forces of the United States, including the state military forces or a reserve component of the armed forces, who was injured or killed while serving on active duty
- Is or has ever been in the conservatorship of the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing held as provided by Family Code §262.201
- Is the child of a person eligible for the Star of Texas Award as:
- a peace officer under Texas Government Code §3106.002, a firefighter under Texas Government Code §3106.003, or an emergency medical first responder under Texas Government Code §3106.004
