Pre-Kindergarten at Legacy
Legacy Traditional School – Alamo Ranch is now enrolling for the 2024-25 school year! Our program will prepare your child for kindergarten with hands-on activities, amazing teachers and a superior curriculum. Space is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so enroll your child today!
We are pleased to introduce Extended Day Pre-K care at Alamo Ranch for the 2025-26 school year.

Tuition-Based Pre-Kindergarten Program
Students who don’t meet eligibility for free Pre-K can enroll in tuition-based Pre-K at select schools. Students must be 3 years old or 4 years old on or before September 1st of the school year. Tuition-based PreK students will be approved only if there is space available after students who qualify for free PreK have been approved.

Payments are due every Monday by 11:59pm. Late payments will incur a $25.00 late fee if not received by Tuesday 12:00pm
How Pre-Kindergarten at Legacy Prepares Your Child for Kindergarten
In the 2023-24 academic year, our Kindergarten graduates showcased their advanced literacy and mathematics skills through exceptional performance in key kindergarten assessments. The Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills (DIBELS) reading assessment measures critical early reading skills, while the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) assesses proficiency in mathematics. Kindergarten students who attended Legacy Pre-Kindergarten outperformed their peers by over 20 percentile points in DIBELS and by more than ten percentile points in MAP math assessments!

A non-refundable annual registration fee will be assessed once your child’s enrollment is approved.
Curriculum
The Pre-kindergarten program is aligned with Texas Education Agency’s Early Learning Standard: Pre-kindergarten children will participate in primary language arts (Spalding), science, music, art, and physical education through hands-on discovery and other age-appropriate activities.
Lunch and Snacks
Included in full-day tuition are a morning snack and lunch (delivered from the school cafeteria and eaten in students’ Pre-kindergarten classrooms). Breakfast, provided at no additional charge, will be offered prior to 8:00 am in the Pre-kindergarten classrooms.
Please note, Legacy Traditional Pre-kindergarten is not an allergy-free school or a nut-free school. Parents of full-day students may send their children to Pre-kindergarten with a packed breakfast, lunch and/or snack.

After school care: 3:30pm-6:00pm
